We are looking for an individual who is qualified in domestic plumbing & heating to lead our team of East Dorset gas engineers.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

As a heating services supervisor, you’ll have direct leadership responsibility for a team of gas engineers, completing 1;1’s, managing sickness and performance issue as well as leading by example and coaching your team’s development and ensuring they consistently deliver great customer services outcomes. You’ll lead toolbox talks for the team, ensuring training requirements are up to date.

 

You’ll oversee the day-to-day planned domestic heating installations with various fuel types (gas, solid fuel & air source heat pumps to name a few).

 

You’ll work closely with the other heating services supervisors across all regions to ensure the programmes are delivered on target, in budget and with high customer satisfaction. There’ll also be collaborative working with our housing colleagues, health & safety colleagues and of course, our external contractors.

 

About you

 

You’ll be a qualified gas engineer, and problem solve to support your team when on site. You will be able to demonstrate experience of leading a team and working collaboratively to build successful working relationships. You’ll also have a proven track record of providing guidance, coaching and support to individuals.

 

You’ll be a confident communicator, with the ability to convey difficult messages where applicable, both to internal and external customers. As you’ll be working in a customer focussed role, you’ll be passionate about the customer experience and be confident in working with a variety of customers with varying needs.

 

You may be required to travel to site to see your team so it’s essential you have a full, UK driving licence, we’ll provide you with a van to get out and about.

 

There may be occasions where you need to work outside of our normal operating hours so a flexible approach to work is essential.
